The Edinburgh Medical School occupies a unique position in the history of medicine. It gave the three famous clinicians and scientists, who significantly developed the fundamentals of neuro-ophthalmology: Sir Charles Bell, Douglas Argyll Robertson and Harry Moss Traquair.
