Purpose: The aim of this paper is to present very rare case of bilateral circumscribed choroidal hemangioma localized in the macular region and accompanied by maculopathy, confirmed by using OCT.

Material and methods: 32 years old patient referred to our clinic with deterioration of visual acuity in both eyes. Refraction test

showed mild myopia (RE: -3.00 D, LE: -2.50 D). Best corrected visual acuity of his right eye was 0.2 and left eye 0.4. Ophthalmoscopic examination revealed orange-reddish lesion in macular region with disturbances of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE).

Fluorescein angiography and ultrasonography confirmed diagnosis of circumscribed choroidal hemangioma in macular region.

SD-OCT showed ultrastructural changes in external layers of the retina overlying the tumor.

Conclusions: Bilateral choroidal hemangioma is extremely rare. Maculopathy secondary do choroidal hemangioma is best visualized by SD-OCT.
